Groups could sign up for one or more of the following shifts:
·
Morning prep from 9-11 a.m.
·
Lunch prep from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
·
Afternoon clean-up from 3-5 p.m.
·
Evening prep from 5-7 p.m.
Volunteers will assemble sack meals at the H.O. Steel Education
Center, 10260 S. Sheridan Rd., in Fenwick.
Formed in 2012, I'M Kids Food works to end childhood hunger in
the community.
"With Ionia County and Montcalm counties having 3,530 and
4,090 food-insecure children, respectively, we know we have a lot of work to
do," Beeman said. "We are confident that, with a strong volunteer
base, we can grow from 500 sack dinners to eventually provide meals for all
food-insecure children in Ionia and Montcalm counties.
