Much of Mid-Michigan is rural, with many vibrant agribusinesses and farmer markets. Our region enjoys one of the most successful "Agriculture Environmental Assurance" and "Purchase of Development Rights" programs in the state, serving to protect vital farmland and the environment on a permanent basis. Our system of local farmer markets strengthens the connection between families and farmers in all three counties.
