Ionia County 4-H Sponsored Youth BAKE-OFF
May 11, 2013
Contest rules as follows:
Open to ALL Ionia County Youth between the ages of 5 – 19.
Categories
5 & 6 year olds — Cookies
7 & 8 year olds – Easy baking – 6 cookies
9 – 11 year olds – a Loaf quick bread or 6 muffins or 6 baked cookies
12 – 14 year olds – Yeast products (rolls, bread, etc.), frosted cake, pastry pie
15 – 19 year olds – Baked fancy dessert, fancy pastry, tarts, tortes, or
Cheese cakes
9 – 19 year olds – Ethnic or International
Food entries MUST be prepared and baked exclusively by the youth. Youth should be supervised by an adult for safety reasons while preparing and baking their entry.
Bake your entry at home and bring it to the 4-H Office between Noon and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013.
Be prepared to talk to the judge and have a written copy of your recipe with you.
Return between 2:30 and 3:00 to pick up your entry. The winning entry in each category (except the 5, 6, 7 & 8 year olds) will receive a $20 award. The 5 & 6 year old and the 7 & 8 Year olds—Easy baking will be awarded a ribbon only.

(616) 527-5357, Monday through Friday, 8:30—12:00 & 1:00—5:00 p.m.
Deadline to register is Monday, May 6th, 2013, at 4:00 p.m.
Be prepared to state your category and bake-off entry.
REMEMBER—YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A 4-H MEMBER TO REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT!
