The ‘Growing Patch’ is growing

Located next to the shelter on Sparrow Drive, the garden is the result of a partnership between the 

health department, 4-H program, local farmer Randy Hager, Community Food Network and other local 

agencies and volunteers.

IONIA COUNTY, Mich.  —  

The “Growing Patch" is the county’s newest community garden to be planted.

Located next to the shelter on Sparrow Drive, the garden is the result of a partnership between the health department, 4-H program, local farmer Randy Hager, Community Food Network and other local agencies and volunteers. This educational and community-driven garden will provide hands-on learning for youth and adults while providing extra support for local food pantries.
